Recently, the headline and the Center for Innovation and Social Responsibility Research, School of Public Management, Tsinghua University, jointly released a public welfare reading report. The data show that the platform has published more than 2.4 million articles related to public welfare and charity throughout the year, and gained more than 16 billion readers. Compared with 2016, the number of articles related to public welfare and charity published increased by 440,000, and the number of reading increased by 5.1 billion times. According to the age penetration data of public charity articles published in the headlines from 2016 to 2017, there is no significant difference in the degree of attention paid by people of different ages to public charity events in 2017. Comparatively speaking, people aged 31-40 and 41-50 are most concerned about charitable events. Compared with 2016, people aged 18-50 pay more attention to charitable issues, which also shows that young people pay more attention to charitable events. However, in 2016, the older people are, the more charitable they are.
